EET & CET

What are the 'European ESG' and 'Carbon Emissions' Templates?

The European ESG Template (EET) was created to facilitate the necessary exchange of data between product manufacturer and distributor for the purpose of fulfilling ESG-related regulatory requirements contained in the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), relevant provisions of the Taxonomy Regulation, and the relevant delegated acts complementing MiFID II and the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD).

The Carbon Emissions Template (CET) is a result of joint working between the Association of British Insurers (ABI), the Investment Association (IA), and the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA). It provides a standardised set of data that pension schemes need to calculate their emissions, and will enable them to better understand the environmental impact of their investments.
