What is the Slater MPS?

Why have we built a Managed Portfolio Service (MPS)?

The UK adviser market deserves managed portfolios that are genuinely diversified, rebalanced thoughtfully (not just on a calendar basis), and built on deeper manager research than “what worked last year.” Costs have rightly fallen, but too often at the expense of efficient risk management. Slater MPS is our answer: a refreshed approach that tackles head-on naïve diversification, formulaic rebalancing, and backward-looking fund selection.

Why choose the Slater MPS?

Why choose the Slater MPS?

  • Low, transparent fees: Active oversight at a DIM fee of 0.10%.
  • Thoughtful rebalancing: Portfolios are reviewed monthly and only adjusted when needed, avoiding unnecessary churn.
  • Risk aware by design: We aim for genuine diversification rather than box-ticking, keeping unintended bets in check.
  • Benchmark-aware, stock-selection driven: Sector and country deviations are kept within reasonable bands; alpha is pursued primarily through security selection.
  • Proven process and people: Led by Leonid Nji, MSc, CFA, with 20+ years’ multi-asset and manager-research experience (ex-L&G, AFH, and Capital Group).
