Background
TCFD, or the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, aims to establish voluntary and standardised disclosures concerning climate-related financial information. The goal is for organisations to furnish relevant data to investors, lenders, and other stakeholders, primarily through their annual financial reports. By adhering to TCFD recommendations, companies can ensure a consistent approach to reporting climate change-related risks and opportunities. This facilitates comparisons across different sectors and jurisdictions.
As outlined in Chapter 2 of the Environmental, Social, and Governance sourcebook of the FCA Handbook, UK firms overseeing funds and portfolios are required to produce entity-level reports consistent with TCFD guidelines. While Slater Investments is not currently subject to this reporting mandate, we have chosen to voluntarily disclose our efforts in this critical area.
Our report presents Slater Investments’ disclosures in alignment with the ESG Sourcebook and examines how we assess climate-related risks and opportunities in managing and administering investments on behalf of our clients and investors. TCFD reports at the product level can be found in the most recent report for the following Slater Investments Funds:
